Hi, what’s up New Fro.  My name is Aaron Soskin.  I am a senior at Rio Americano High School and I am 18 years old.  I play soccer and rugby but I am absolutely horrendous and basketball.  I love to have a good time of just chilling and kickin it.  I love community service and saving the world.  If you want to get to know me or want to do some community service together, just send me an email or find me on facebook.

Social Action/Tikkun Olam:  What does it mean?  There is no exact definition of these words.  It is personal to every person and means something different to every person.  To me, it means that I try my hardest every day to help those who are less fortunate then me and to put others before me.  Find out what this means to you, and then act on it.  If you ever want help on any SA/TO oriented thing, don’t hesitate to get in contact with me.  My number is 916-835-4010 or my e-mail is newfrontiersato@usy.org.

Social Action / Tikkun Olam Defined

Social action n: a social policy of reform

What this means; Social Action is helping out our community. There are different ways of doing this, but the basic idea is to improve the community we live in.

Tikkun Olam: Repairing or healing the world

What this means; Tikkun Olam is the vehicle through which money is contributed to Tzedakah by the United Synagogue Youth. WE provide financial support for those causes we can’t necessarily directly help.
